I just switched from Rogers to Public and I was wondering if I need to purchase either an eSIM or a physical SIM?

hi @Denze

i would choose a physical sim, easier to swap between phones

Yes, that's an option. It's your choose. 1 eaim and one physical SIM per account.

I travel yearly to the United States and I heard its better to just get a physical SIM and just purchase an eSIM when im abroad.

hi @Denze

yes, sim are one time use and carrier specific, you need a PM sim card to subscribe here

you can get a sim card for $10 from local Telus or Koodo store, or get it cheaper from Amazon for $5

get the sim card first.  After you received the sim card, download PM app and subscribe.

@Denze  yes you do. You cannot use another provider's sim card at another's.

So you replied to the sms from Rogers already?

If your phone is esim compatible you can purchase esim.  Just download the Public Mobile App to your phone and choose esim.  The system will determine if your phone is compatible.

Or you can purchase a physical card from Amazon.  It's cheaper and faster. I wouldn't recommend buying it from the Public Mobile site as it will take up to 3 weeks to receive.
