deleting freedom esim profile after porting to public mobile

Hello community, I hope all finds you well today! I recently switched from freedom esim to public mobile esim. I did not port my number until after signing up to PM. Can I now delete my Freedom esim profile?  More importantly, I noticed that my public mobile esim profile number that I bought prior to porting does not allow me to change the 'my number' to my ported number being displayed in the profile. Hence, I am afraid to delete my old freedom esim profile. Also, I noticed that imessage does not appear to work, just normal text message. Any thoughts are welcome please

@Stevieboy

you don't have to delete the Freedom esim, you can simply "disable" it , or toggle OFF "Turn on this line" on iPhone.

Whether the porting is completed depends if you are receiving incoming calls on your Public Mobile esim.  So, disable the Freedom esim first, reboot and test the incoming calls

for iMessage, go to the settings, remove the phone number , reboot, then go back to iMessage settings and enter the phone number again
