data disappearing

For several nights I have had data use just after midnight when my phone has been charging while I sleep.  Any ideas of how it might be disappearing.  
The first few nights it was under 50 mg but last night is was almost 400 mg.

PM updates your data usage twice a day. Once around noon and the other around midnight. This is normal because PM doesn’t update in real time.

Data usage is posted in bulk a couple times a day, so that usage is from the previous several hours.

Midnight data use could be the data used in the day.

Could your phone be updating overnight?
