Hi Elle,
No need to use contact us as the community alone is a great way to get answers to what your looking for.
Before we get started I need to understand the following:
Do you already have an account with Public or are you trying to sign up a new account with Public? Answer to this matters what you do next.

Or if you prefer for an instant solution you can as stated in this thread simply cut your existing SIM. It's not too hard to do but I can appreciate it's not for everyone.
