if you don't need your phone number, you can disable Autopay so the account won't renew and will be closed eventually. To disable Autopay, login My Account, go to Payment, click Manage Subscription and turn of Subscribed
But if you need your number, then you need to keep your PM account opened and request porting with the new carrier.
