Correct, with autopay it is automatic. I thought you were concerned that your credit card update was too late. Just leave it if your credit card update was accepted.

The basic "rule" is ignore all messages on the day of expiry unless your phone stops working and the account Status shows Suspended.
I think you should update your credit card data and try to make a payment equal to, or less than, the amount you need to pay for your plan (plan cost less Rewards less current Available Funds). If that goes through, you can be confident your service will be fine.
