Weird outgoing call

cmbchwang

My phone is not currently in use, but I am still paying for it. Today I checked usage and found that is has been dialed all the time. The destination NO is 6475804001.  it is the same number everytime. it is weird.

There doesn't actually have to be a voice message waiting for the customer for the voicemail number to show in the self serve usage history. That gets recorded as soon as a call is forwarded there.

I'm curious as to why you checked usage when it's not in use. You just happened to be curious?

If set up and configured, voicemail uses call forwarding. Someone calls you. The call isn't answered for whatever reason. The phone will use call forwarding to forward the call to the number set in the dialer settings. Usually the voicemail access number. It will look like an outgoing call in the usage details. Which it is.

Perhaps the calls are numbers that you've blocked. Like scammers/spammers.

Here is a list of local voicemail access/deposit numbers across Canada, that one being one for Toronto, Ontario. These numbers are shared for all Telus Mobility, Koodo, and Public Mobile customers.

That is the voicemail number. Someone calls you, you don't answer it gets routed to your voicemail so they can leave a message.

This just means that someone called you and was directed to your voicemail box. It's not really an indication of an outgoing call.
