Usage shows a web event by texting myself????

My call log usage showed multiple times that I had a web event by texting myself, I don’t understand why it would say that as I don’t text myself. I asked my kid and he said  he did not either, can someone shed some light onto this. Thanks!

@Ashley2Look at my picture and copy what I did, I edited out the complete phone numbers and only took the part of the log, not the part that shows my name or my account number. There is no personal information in the log.

Data event, it should say MMS over to the side. That just means a multimedia message was sent. Like a text but done with imessage, or a text with subject line, picture, etc.

So your originating# and destination # were the same?

It's common for imessage/andriod dialer to send SMS for phone setup features but using MMS is strange, if you can do the screen shot we can have a better base understanding to try and help you.

@Ashley2Can you post a picture of your usage history (like below) and please and give the time/date of the event in question so we can better understand what is happening in the log to give you an explanation.

A "Web" is just data that was used by your device

"Data event" shows as MMS (picture / multimedia message)

Then there is outgoing, and incomming text.

So not sure I quite follow how you have a web event with text message, those are 2 different events.  Unless you mean there is a web "event" after each text, that could be explained by imessage or 3rd party messaging app.
