Urgent help needed :’(

I’ve recently been locked out of my Hotmail account that is attached to basically everything that I own. 
 
I’ve had a cell phone number / plan with public mobile since I first moved to Canada. 

I lost the number and now I’m not able to access my Hotmail account to save my life!

The only way I can is to have access to my cell phone number that I no longer have anymore. 

can public mobile please help me retrieve this lost number (that I currently remember)

If the phone was giving to another customer, that wouldn’t have been so much of an issue as I would only have to contact that person for them to tell me the exact code that Microsoft is texting to the said number, but the number just happens to be “out of service”.

I have already contacted Microsoft and the team said there is absolutely NOTHING they can do to bi-pass the system set in place to help with recovery. Everything is leading down to this one phone number (xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx). As I am sure that I’m giving all possible best answers to the security questions, it’s still giving me the “failed attempt”. After contacting customer service from my current phone provider, they indicated that the number was last active in April of this year, and that it is possible that it can’t be “pulled”. 
im being lead by many different voices with this and I just would appreciate some clarity.

This is something that you'll need to take up with Microsoft and you'll need to prove to them that the Hotmail account is yours.  As the phone number was from a while ago, it's likely already been given to another person.
