Unexpected Data Plan Change?

I am on the 25 $ plan, have been for last two years or so, and I always had 1 or 1.5G but last month they dropped it to 1024mb.. Surely this is an error? I only noticed today I thought the phone was just glitching connecting to the network.

Those reminder SMS's seem to get thrown into disarray when one has bonus or other added data to their regular plan data.

I never rely on them.

Also, make sure your device doesn't have a 'data limiter' set such that your device limits or prevents data use beyond a certain user-defined threshold.   Some folks have found they have had this enabled and thought they ran out of data.

Oh okay, thanks so much for your help. I think you are right the reminder text is in error!!

@astroveg

Those SMS text reminders of data used/remaining are useless.

Don't rely on them.

Rely on the self-serve page for data usage.   Before doing so, make sure to click the little refresher icon to ensure you're not viewing a cached version of the page.

Indeed.

I have wondered (and am not interested in being the guinea pig) if the simple act of removing auto-pay from that plan would indeed lower the allotment to 500MB, given it does not on the 250MB plan.

Okay thanks! I just woke up not really thinking.. then there is something wrong because I havent used my data in a few weeks and I get a text saying I used 75%of my data a few days into my new cycle..

That plan used to show as 500+500 when autopay was on. Now it's just 1gb or 1024mb.

Hi @astroveg

1GB is equivalent to 1024 MB.

They display it as MB so they can display amounts used and remaining more easily.
