Hi! My name is Lane Dyck. I would like to be able to transfer my old phone number with PC Mobile over to Public Mobile. Can you help?

Yes, that's where you request to port in your number. Are you sure you are entering your 10 digit number correctly without any dashes?

How did you get the first number transfered? What did you do last time?

This is the same issue as on Saturday, but with a different account and phone.

@mjdyck, is this the same number transfer issue you requested assistance with on Saturday? Was the problem never resolved?

Sounds great. But didn't work. I went to my PM account. Clicked on Plans and Add-ons, and found no Change Number option.
Because I'm transferring from PC Mobile, when setting up my account, it suggested I pick a new number, and then contact you after activation to change it. I am in the midst of trying that. But not having success yet. Hopefully soon! Are you able to help more?

Are you getting an error message? Are you sure the number is still active with PC Mobile -although I don't think it would check that at this point.

@mjdyck, Do you already have a Public Mobile account set up? Are you trying to port an existing PC Mobile number into your PM account? If so, you can do that from within your self serve account portal. Just go into Plans and Add-ons, then to Change Phone number. From there, select Transfer a wireless or wireline... Then just follow the instructions.
If you haven't yet set up you Public mobile account, you can port in your number during the account setup process. After the first screen, where you set up your account, security information, as well as referral information, the next screen will show the phone number selector. In there, you can specify if you want to port in an existing number.

Hi @mjdyck,
You can request to port in your number from the self-serve account. I assume you read the message while activating to contact support for transferring your number. But it is easy enough to do it yourself. Login to your PM self-serve account and click on "Change Number" option located under your profile. All you need to provide is your name, ph# and PC Mobile account# followed by checking the Authorized checkbox. If you are coming form PC Mobile prepaid, make sure that you are not using the same email address on your Public Mobile account.
