When attempting to transfer my Bell cell number (active and currently working), I get this message. How can a number be invalid? Any ideas?

Thanks. That sucks. Stuck with Bell (or a ton of work to change a bunch of things….more so now with 2FA!).

your number is from Forth Smith, numbers in the area are exclusive to Bell Mobility and Northwestel and you can only port your number within these 2 carriers (or their sub-brands like Virgin or Lucky). No other carriers have a "rate center" in this city and hence you cannot port your number elsewhere
if you want to join Public Mobile, you have to choose a new phone number.

most number can be ported into PM but a small number cannot, that is something to do with the physical location of where the number from. Please provide us the area code and the next 3 digits of the number and we can confirm
