Hello,
I was having troubles transferring my old number from my Koodo account and was wondering if you could provide some assistance. I was confused on what number to enter when it asked for an alternate number. As well, I tried to set up a new number but I was not able to add my region/area. It would be great if you could assist me ASAP.
Thanks,
Emilia

The alternate number is just another number PM can reach you at if they run into issues with the port. From my experience of porting over 4 numbers for family members in the past month, and had no issues with anything of them. I ported from Bell and Rogers. During the port I provided the bell/Rogers account #, the number to be ported and the name one the bell/Rogers account. All ported over in less than 1 hour. In fact I made a mistake with one, I entered the wrong number to be ported, 416 instead of 647. After an hour I checked and noticed this, I logged into the PM account and click change number and went through the port again and this time I entered the correct number and it took about 40min to port. Good luck

If Public Mobile doesn't offer numbers for your area, you can't port in a number from there. Which city?

You need to provide the following info to port your number from Koodo.
1. your Koodo number to be ported
2. your Koodo account number
3. your name on your Koodo account account
They will call your alternate number if they have issue to port your number.
If you are porting a Koodo prepaid number, you need to the moderator help to port the Koodo prepaid number. Create a moderator support ticket using the ? button at the bottom right hand corner of this page.

@emidurfeld the alternate number is if you have a house phone or someone else living in the house just incase something goes wrong with your number they can contact you on an alternate number. You don't need to put one if you don't have any! Did you already activate or did you start and then stopped because you couldn't find a new number from your region?
