New activation 2 weeks ago
texts have been an issue - initially couldn’t get messages from androids - then no texts at all
when I go into settings and look at send and receive in messaging it says
” you can receive messages to and from:
then it has my email checked off
when I try to check my phone number instead it says
” iMessage activation - an error occurred during activation. Try again”
and it shows my phone number as “VERIFYING”
any help would be appreciated

and try disable iMessage altogether and see if SMS text work. That can at least confirm if it is a text or iMessage problem

Thanks. Yes, opened a ticket last night. They were quite quick to respond and we’ve been attempting to troubleshoot but still no luck. I will now ask about reprovisioning the account. Thanks again, very much appreciated!

have you check with PM yet? ask them to reprovison you account, maybe that would help
Just open ticket with PM using the Orange Chatbot icon on the lower right. (For 2FA when login, you might need to use email to receive if you cannot receive the text on the phone.) Type the question Submit ticket and select Contact Us to get to ticket open screen

Hi, I appreciate your feedback. Can you explain further. It does receive calls and I can make calls. That has been consistent throughout. It just won’t receive or allow me to make texts. So, if it’s not a PM issue what kind of issue is it? Especially when it occurs even when sim is tried in several phones.

first, are you able to receive inbound calls? if you can, then it is not really a PM problem
when you put the sim in a Samsung, you might want to uninstall and reinstall Google Message to re-register RCS

Also, took the SIM card out and put it in a Samsung phone and the issue remains. If it is an Apple issue I would think it would be corrected in another phone?

so, if I try again tomorrow and the issue persists, should I contact Apple? Thing is it worked perfectly for the first week after activation and then the issues started 5 days ago, confusing! Thanks for your help!

it's ok to let it stay with Verifying, it might take time. Just make sure you are not in airplane mode.
if it still stuck at Verifying, i will do the same (remove number, reboot , and put it back) after 24 hours. It is an Apple issue with iMessage registration, not something PM has control

tried this, it won’t let me as I can’t tap on my phone number because it shows it’s still “VERIFYING “

Solution did not work. How do I get them to finish activation so it will accept my phone number. Trying a bit longer before heading to a different provider. So far dissatisfied and not worth the headaches. Obviously there was an issue during activation but I feel like that is something they have to solve??

It didn’t work. Somehow they need to finish the verification! No, won’t send texts to iPhones, or androids. Instead when I text people are getting an email!

can you receive iMessage from iPhone users?
try this, go to Settings to remove the phone number, then reboot phone, and then go back the Settings to renter the phone number to re-register iMessage
