Thank you so much. That was exactly what I did. how I started with SIMon which led me to this level. However, the problem is not fixed yet.

@isaacowolabi tour sim probably didn't provision properly. Contact the moderators and ask them to fix it for you. There are 2 ways to contact the Moderator Team:

  • Faster response- Get help with your account the easy way by starting a conversation with our virtual assistant, SIMon. It’ll take you to relevant help articles, or if it’s something more urgent, it can help you submit a ticket to the Moderator Team. Click here to get started.
  • Slower- Alternatively, you can send a private message to the Moderators by clicking here. You’ll need to be logged in to your Community account for the link to work.

Once connected to Simon, you will be asked to log in again with your community user name and password.  Please do, this allows you to continue and send your message.
- Check your private message sent box (click on the envelope top right of your screen) to make sure the message was sent.

- Keep an eye on the envelope top right of your screen.  The mods answer will show up there.  When it does, you will be asked to verify your self service account, with your password and login. Doing so allows the process to continue. Stay safe.

I think it's network issue. I tried again searching manually, it discovered public mobile. I selected public mobile, but after long attempt to register on public mobile, it came out that it could not be registered on public mobile. It shows selected network (public mobile) not available. However, I have been using public mobile at the same location before now

Is the phone paid for?

Can you change the network type? ie. LTE/4G/UMTS/WCDMA/HSDPA/3G.

@isaacowolabi  Try the sim in another phone if it works then it's a phone issue. If it still doesn't work then there is an account provisional issue. You will need to submit a ticket to PM for help.

Yes it's not detecting network, so it can neither connect automatically or manually. The phone is clean, I checked with IMEI number. Infact, I bought the phone new from Telus before I ported to public mobile.

Not detecting in manual list could mean the phone is broken, or LTE and 3g are disabled. Public doesn't have a 2g network. The network could be down, or network is weak there.

Yes, it worked means it was connected to the network. I even made a call. Now, it's not detecting network. I have shut down the phone, even removed the sim card, reinserted sim again and powered on the phone yet it's not working.

Not dectecting or not connecting? Try searching manually and see if Public Mobile is in the list. If It's not, it could be a network problem. Unlikely to have happened right after activating, but if you check your IMEI, is it it listed as clean?  Go to devicecheck.ca to look.

Does "it worked" mean it connected to the network but now not?  Try restarting your phone. Also set network selection to automatic.
