I can't call or text some of my contacts and neither can they to me. New customer, not pleased.

Did you port your old number over to PM?
If you are, did you leave your old SIM in the phone and replied to the text from your old carrier?
Or if you picked a new number, just reboot your phone by powering off your phone the wait a few minutes then power on the phone.

Did you just sign up? And did your port a number in?
Sounds like the port has not completed.
Did you get a text asking for confirmation of port from your old carrier?
Put your old sim back in phone and see if you have any texts.
And if you have a second phone...temporarily put your PM SIM in it.
You might have split services until port is completed.
Did you get an email from PM to say port was competed?

Did you port over a number to Public Mobile?
If you just ported your phone number from another cell provider it could take a few hours to complete the port.
Using the other cell provider's SIM you should be still receiving calls on it, until the port completes.
Leave the OLD provider SIM card in your phone to accept the PORT via SMS/text.
If you missed this 90 minute window, submit a ticket via this link to re-initiate the port:
Link to contact Customer Support Agents (CSA) for porting to Public Mobile
If you ported a landline, it could take up to a week to complete.
Make sure you do not cancel your previous provider's services.
Incoming calls are usually the last to port over.
