Just activated my new sim card and it is not working.

Is your phone locked to its previous provider?

Contact your previous provider to unlock it for you.

You will need your imei number, dial *#06# to get it.

@abbymurphy  from another member who got a response from mod:  - looks like it's a nationwide issue with account creation but should be solved within 24 hours.

can you do try reseat the SIM card

1.power off your device

2.take out the SIM card,

3.wipe it clean,

4.put it back and power on,

5.toggling airplane mode off/on,  

 

it happened sometime you know, A normal reboot without reset, didn't work. At least try it,

only work after reseating the SIM card.

 

can you try it selecting the network to "3G ONLY"

what is mean for Rebooting the phone means to turn off your phone and turn it back on.

Thank you for all of your assistance.  I have also submitted a ticket to MOD, just waiting now.

I will wait it out and hope things change in the next couple of hours.

There should not be much to do with S10.. as long as you phone is unlocked

 

There seems to be an activation delay this afternoon.  more posts than usual.  You might want to wait out another hours or two, but reboot your phone every 15 mins to get the latest..

 

or you can also contact mod and have them look into it right a way

 

(After you open a ticket with mod, please monitor your Community inbox, envelope on the top right.  Mod will communicate with you via messaging within Community)

Tried the reset you suggested

I have a Samsung S10

 

to reseat the sim, power off phone, take the SIM out, wipe it clean, put it back in and power up

 

what kind of phone is yours?

 

If iPhone, do this:

 

1. Insert new working SIM - do not turn phone on (if SIM is already in, turn off)
2. Connect to computer with USB cable.
3. Start iTunes if it doesn't auto run
4. iPhone will switch on. Wait until iTunes registers it and checks for updates
5. Install the carrier profile update (if offered, if not, go to step 6)
6. Disconnect and restart.

I do not see PM at the top of the screen.

Yes credit card has been charged.

How do i reset a Sim?

@abbymurphy  do you see Public Mobile showing on the top of the screen?

 also, you confirmed PM took money out of the CC?

try reseat the sim and see.

Also for the activation , you confirmed that PM took the money from the credit card yet?
