I signed up yesterday and data still isn’t working. It says I have SOS only.
the chat bot suggested turning my phone off & on but that didn’t change anything.
I sent a help ticket in four hours ago but haven’t received a reply.
any other suggestions for what to try?

the customer support group are still trying to catch up after the recent promo debacle ...give it a try again tomorrow. In the meantime, try rebooting your cell from time to time to see if that helps.
