Hi I have an unlocked LG G5 it worked fine until I switch to Public mobile, and really it is still working good I just cannot send text messages, I can recieve them and can make and recieve calls plus my data works fine I checked to make sure the apn# was correct and even did a factory reset on the phone once again cannot send texts any help would be appreciated

You are doing the right things to troubleshoot your LG G5 problem by factory reset.

LG may have replaced the Android message app with their LG app,

Try install and use Google Play Messages app.  I am not sure this will fix your problem.  But it worth a try.

@Carl1Is it only to 1 person? Does it work if you text yourself? Does it show in your sent box? Log into public mobile and go to usage history does your text messages show as outgoing text?

 

 

The most common problem for not being able to send SMS is having an invalid SMSC number. The SMSC number for Public Mobile is 16475800172. Make sure you input that number into your message center option on your phone.

 

 Depending on  your phone... Messaging=>Settings=>Text(SMS) Messages=> SMSC Setting. Then input 16475800172

What happens when you try to send the text message? Does it tell you that it wasn't sent or does the receiver not receive anything?
