Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 not working on PM network

I have an unlocked Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 that worked on the chatr network but doesn't find the PM network. I have a basic voice only SIM. When I do network search it only finds the Rogers network. I checked the hidden menues and it shows as unlocked for sure. Has anyone else had issue with some phones not supported by PM?

Unfortunately, that is not correct.  That site has long been listing that exact same mistake.  Public Mobile has never had a 2G GSM network.  For a phone to compatible with Public Mobile's voice services, your phone must have 850/1900MHz UMTS compatibility (bands 2, 5).

This is GSM phone and will not work with Public Mobile!
