Once you buy your sim card online are you able to to activate your card or do you have to wait for it to be sent to your house?

You must wait because the SIM number is required for activation.

You have to wait till it is sent to your house. If you want it want to activate it quickly, you can buy it in wal-mart for same price and have a physical card when you buy.
