I've bought a card yesterday and it won't activate. I have a galaxy s7 and other people have said that it works with public mobile in person and on other online forums. I've tried changing the number and still nothing. Any way to fix this or do i need a new phone to use this sim card?

HI @Stormhunter99 What is "it won't activate"? Did you go through the activation process and PM charged you?
If the activation was completed, try the PM Sim card in different phones and see if it connects
(no, the PM Sim should work with S7, but you can try on other phones as well)

Are you the original owner of the Samsung S7 or did you purchase it privately.
The phone might be locked by another carrier. Check your setting under About. It should indicate No SIM Restrictions.

@Stormhunter99 - you must activate a Public Mobile (not used before) SIM Card and choose a plan to obtain services.
So, did you activate online (https://publicmobile.ca/en/on/portal/activation) or in-store; and were you charged for the activation?
If so, does your account status say Active when you log into your Self Serve account: https://selfserve.publicmobile.ca/Overview/
If you activated in store you can register for a Self Serve account here:

But, since you said you changed the number...this kinda tells me you do have a self serve account, since I think you used the Change Number option.
Try one or more of the below:
*turn off your phone, leave off for a few minutes, then reboot
*removing your SIM, then reinserting it
*go into airplane mode, then going back to regular mode
*perform a reset network settings on your device
*try your SIM card into another compatible phone for a few days to see if the issues are the same...this could rule out a device issue/setting.
*Is your phone locked? Contact your previous provider to unlock it for you. You will need your imei number, dial *#06# to get it.
*Check if your phone is blacklisted here: https://www.devicecheck.ca/check-status-device-canada/
If issues persist, submit a ticket to CSA to check on your account's activation.

My Canadian market SM-G930W8 works fine here.
What do you mean "won't activate"? Did you have errors going through the activation process?

@Stormhunter99 are you saying your plan is active but your phone wont work? are you getting any messages can you try it in another phone?
