Hello fellow PublicMobilers,
I have a question which is in regards to retriving data from a filp phone.
CAN all the text messages, contacts, and photos be retrived from such a phone?
I have that same free SIM card of a few years back and only need to purchase that Blackberry Q10.
Once I purchase the phone, will everything on my old one be transferred?

All phones on corporate plans (not PM) have information transferred regularly when the phones are being upgraded by the corporation - so it is possible. I would go to one of the carriers or phone places who can do a USB transfer either from phone to phone, or through a computer.

You can store the contacts, photos and videos on the Google cloud. You just need to open an account.

most likely yes you can retrieve those data from your old phone. However depending on what phone is it, the method of retrieving could be different. Most modern phones will provide some sort of USB connectivity to your PC/Mac and runs a local program to retrieve the data.
Older phones might be able to store minimum data on SIM card as well so its portable to other like phones. Or the phone might have a internal storage SD card so you can take it out and plug it into PC to read.
