If you have stopped payment for 90 days or longer. Your account will be closed, SIM rendered useless and you lost your number.

You will then get a new SIM and open a new account and pick a new number. Your old number will be returned to the carrier you got the number from and is open for members of the other carrier to pickup your old number.

If the carrier is Telus or Koodo, there is a slim chance you might get it back if it hasn't been assigned to anyone.

If nonpayment is less than 90 days and your account is suspended, all you have to do is to login to your account and make a manual payment to active your service.

If your account is Suspended then you can reactivate it by simply paying for your plan. No fees or penalties for the deactivation or the reactivation, no cost for the days of inactive service, your plan just starts up again on the next 30-day billing cycle the moment payment is accepted. If you're able to log into Self-Serve then you'll see the account and plan are "Inactive" or "Suspended" or "Expired" but that the account itself hasn't yet been Terminated (closed) because it was in Suspended status (without any payment or service) for more than 90 days.

If your account has been Terminated then it is gone forever. The phone number is lost. The SIM card is permanently deactivated, it's just a useless piece of plastic which cannot ever be reactivated or reused. At this point, you have no account and no "contract" with Public Mobile, you can signup again as a "new customer" at Public Mobile or you can signup as a new customer at any other provider. There's no way to recover your number, it is gone, it might even already be assigned to someone else. You can't login to your account, it is also gone.
