Why does my data run out so fast?

It is crazy that I have 5 Gigs for the month and in this month (May 2026) I only opened the data for 1 minute first it read 291 KG and then the next day I opened it for another 1 minute and it jumped now to 1.06 Mega? What the heck is this? Who is managing "Public Mobile"??

@saklilu to add to what @slusagm replied, there are 1024MB in 1 GB. So you have a total of 5120MB. Your 1.06MB is 0.0002% of your total data.

291 kb and 1.06 Mb are very little data, it is nothing unusual.  Your phone has many apps that will try to access data in the background and these numbers are reasonable, in fact very minimal

If you are concerned, you should install some data usage app and track which apps used the data
