i'm encountering the same issue - I have my Public Moble SIM with me and the new Freedom Mobile sim I want to port out to. I am not receiving the port out SMS on my Public Mobile, and Freedom Mobile is encountering an error when porting. How can this be resolved?

make sure you can still receive regular text from friends. Then ask Freedom to resend the porting request.
if waited another 2 hours still not getting the text, ask PM agent to help
