So I subscribed to Public Mobile years ago when they still had their old points system. I registered for the $15 plan which included 250mb of free data. As years went by, the monthly fee dropped to as low as $10 until the points system changed. I eventually went back up to $15 monthly because of this.
So now with the price increase to $18, I'm still getting the same plan details but paying $3 more. Still getting the 250mb data but wishing there was a way to get the 1gb data.
For those who were able to switch from the $15 (250mb) plan to the $18 (1gb) plan, are there any other changes in the plan itself that changed? I thought I found a post saying that long distance was no longer included.
And if I am able to switch over to the $18 (1gb) plan, do I lose all my bonuses that I've accumlated over the years? I have about 7gb of data from my bonuses.
Thanks.

I'm in the same boat as Yeej, except starting from when I signed up, I ONLY use text and talk on a truly basic clamshell device. I didn't want a device smarter than me. My gripe is that companies such as this one with highly sophisticated technology aren't capable of accommodating customers whose usage falls outside the norm, a norm which is focused on today's smart phones. With a hearty harrumph, good day.

no, you won't lose your data bonuses and long distances bonuses from previous Christmas. They are tied to your account, not the plan, so they will stay
what the "Long Distances" that people mentioned that they will lose is the special monthly add-on included in the "new" $15 - 500Mb plan that people subscribe earlier this year. But you have a $15-250Mb plan, so, it does not apply to you and you won't lose anything
