I’m planning to switch 3G to 4G plan and just wanted to know if my existing add-ons will be changed when the new plan starts.

Existing add-on will not be affected at all, those add-on are tied with your account, not the plan
and when making plan change, make sure you choose Change on Renewal to schedule a plan change
