Public Mobile not on the list of Network Operators listed on the pHone.

HI all, need help. I'm new to Public Mobile, bought a new SIM at the Telus store, registered and bought a $30 plan to start with. I have an A13 5G new phone, I set it up APN as suggested. But UNABLE to connect to the Public Mobile Network. Scanned network available are Bell, Telus, Rogers and Freedom...but no Public Mobile...

If you cannot see public mobile as a network option and you have no working services (call/text/data?) Then your Sim card likely did not provision correctly upon activation to your account. ( As suggested by @HALIMACS the same result in another phone confirms this issue.) You will need to contact customer support to remedy the situation and properly provision your Sim card.

Try your recently activated SIM card in another, known working device to see if it can connect to the Public Mobile network. (preferably, one that is on the PM network)

 

Then, try THAT device's SIM card in your device to see whether your device can connect to it with that SIM card.

 

The above should help troubleshoot SIM vs device(settings) vs network.

@WWilliams did you try both "Reset all network" and factory reset the phone?

 

did you also try to just manually connect to Telus network?

Try doing a factory reset then power off the phone and see if PM shows up on the network.

Then just check to see if the APN matches with:

What happens when you choose Telus? I don't see Public either but it works perfectly fine on Telus and says Telus everywhere.

Forget APN for now, you need to make sure the phone sees PM and can connect (will check APN later once you confirm the phone can connect to PM network.  APN only affects data, it won't help the phone to connect to PM or not)

 

 

First, try to click Reset All network and see if it can connect to PM

If still cannot connect.  Have the PM sim card stay on the phone and try to wipe the phone and setup the phone again with the PM sim card inside and see if it works
