If this promo is shown in your account under Subscription>Manage Subscription>Change Subscription then you can switch to the new plan anytime but I would suggest you switch on your next renewal date. If you click on NOW to switch. You will be charged for the old plan plus the new plan.

it's yours for as long as you keep it active or change to something else.
