Porting from Shaw landline

Porting from Shaw landline but cannot complete because I cannot receive text messages on the landline. How do I complete the transfer?

Instead of a text you will receive a call in about 3 to 5 days from them to get your permission to transfer the number. They will probably offer you some kind of deal to get you to stay at the same time.

No reply to a text message is required to transfer a landline.  Landline transfers do take a few days though.
