Porting between PM accounts

I have a PM account that was used by my son, he now has his own account, I wasn't aware that I seemingly cannot easily port numbers between accounts.  Aside from using a middle man account with a different carrier, is there any way to get this done?

Thanks, that will mean cancelling the new account and sim card he already paid for.  But yeah, I suppose those are the options.

Unfortunately, you can’t switch between account but you can change the CC and email for his account.

sorry, you cannot switch numbers between accounts.   

So, the "middle man" account is the only way.  But please note doing so, the number from the original account will be lost
