There is currently no good coverage in this area (Thornhill woods).  I got the answer from the technical support. And currently there are no plans to fix it for the next year. So basically they told me to look for another carrier

As I mentioned - Sometimes no signal at all (0 bars)

@EmileT

Check the coverage in your area:

https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/coverage

You might also check the Telus and Bell towers in your area for best coverage:

@EmileT , there might be a local network issue.  Is the low signal problem persistent?

weak signal and no signal are not the same. 1 bar can be sufficient

did you try manually force it on 4G ? more have problem because of weak 5G

The issue is not the speed. It is the weak signal and more problematic when no signal at all. When there is no signal you cannot use calls or data.

are you using 4G or 5G?

how fast is your data speed? use a speed test to check

and your voice calls were good?

Signal quality can vary form location to location.  There can also be a regional issue affecting signal.  Try restarting your phone and this can will force a faster reconnection to the network especially after not having signal.
