Hello I was under the old plan where I am paying $120 per 90 days
However I noticed that there is a $40 monthly plan that offers
4.5 GB at 3G Speed with 500 MB. How am I able to get 1.5 more GB on my current plan?

@elizabethpchow if you do decide to change, you'll probably notice that you are using less data with the 3g plan. especially if you watch or stream content.

In order to get the additional data you will need to schedule a plan change from your current 90 day plan to the new 30 day plan.
Change Your Plan
When you’re changing your plan, you can choose to change immediately or at your next plan renewal date. To change your plan: sign in to Self-Serve, select ‘Change Plan’ on the Overview page, select the plan you want, and scroll to the bottom of the page.
Changing your plan on the next plan renewal date
Public Mobile recommends you choose this option because it allows you to use the services you have already paid for until your next plan renewal date. Here are some things you should know about this option:
Changing your plan immediately
You may choose to change your plan immediately if you have used all or most of your services, or if your account is suspended and you would like a different plan. Here are some things you should know about this option:
What will happen if my payment wasn’t completed?
In this scenario, your account could still move from suspend to active, re-starting your plan cycle and potentially only reactivating a portion or none of your services. If you find yourself in this situation, simply go to the “Payment” tab in Self-Serve, choose “One Time Payment”, and opt to pay the “Amount Due”. This will cover the new plan cost less any partial payment that was taken. After successful payment, your services should be fully reactivated. If your services aren’t restored, please start a conversation with our virtual assistant, SIMon, to submit a ticket to the Moderator Team by clicking here.

One more thing you should postdate the switch so that you are seamlessly moved to your new plan at the end of your cycle, that way you don't lose that money you already paid for

@elizabethpchow , you can't get the extra data on your plan. You would be required to change to that 30-day plan. There are two things to consider with that change, you would be going to throttled LTE speeds and you wouldn't have the flexibility of the data over 90 days where you may use 6GB in one 30 day span and 3GB in the other two. You would gain the extra data and Canada wide calling though

@elizabethpchow you can't. The trade off is faster data for more slower data. Stay safe.

@elizabethpchow You need to change your plan via self-service account. I would suggest to use "change on renewal date" option in order not to change now and save some money.

@elizabethpchow if I was you I would switch over to the 30 day plan. When is your 120 plan up?
When you are within 2 weeks of your new plan go into change plan in your self serve account. Then click on the 40.00 plan. Go down to the button that says change plan on Renewal. You will now have the extra G's in your account.
If you want extra data in the mean time you can do a 1G add on for 15.00 it will not expire and will roll over everymonth until your plan data is complete.
If you want to.keep with paying every 90 days then just add that much money to your account. Also set up auto pay and it will take an extra 6.00 off your plan every 90 days.
have a womderful day.

You can switch from your selfserve but you cannot just add it to your plan
You would be migrating to 3g plan which is not a big deal for most people (it's still LTE just throttled that's all). It's will give you 5 gigs if you do autopay I highly suggest it.
