After I came back home from Asia, I deleted my eSIM cards and my physical SIM card does not work. Do I need to reactivate my old SIM card?

how did you suspend service before going away ? You could have disabled Subscription...but now you need to re-enable it for your account to start again. If the account was suspended for more than 90 days...you gonna need a new sim to start a new account using a different email address as your old account has been deactivated.

I tried this and resetting my network settings.

Reboot your phone by powering off then back on.
