you meant you long pressed 1 and didn't get to voicemail?
try to call voicemail using this number 1-647-580-4001, enter the number and password and see if you can get to voicemail there
if you can access using that number, then it is just a device program, program the number in your phone. Usually it is under the settings in the dailer app
For calls dropping issue, what phone do you have? try Reboot phone and Reset network settings and it should help
