I installed my SIM card, transerred my old phone number from Koodo, It is now cancelled, but it is not working on my Public phone, or registered there. What happened?

For amounnts of time such as 2 days, that is usually only to transfer landline and VoIP numbers.

More info please:
a) did you cancel the Koodo account/number?
b) what message do you see after rebooting your phone with the PM SIM installed?
c) have you tried the Koodo SIM?
d) Koodo postpaid or prepaid account?
