Phone number transfer issue

Rpikolon

Hi everyone, it's been over a week now and I still can't receive calls on my new line.  The old landline still rings.  The esim dials out just fine (on the ported number) as does the landline (on the same number) so we now have a "split-brain" situation.  I tried to submit a ticket but it is asking for an SMS verification - but of course that doesn't work.  Any ideas?

What you experiencing, split brain, is normal when the line is not done porting. But it shouldn't take 10 days

There is a porting assistance team you can call and ask for update.  I can't post the number here, but I will message the number to your community inbox.  Please check and call them

But if you cannot reach them or they said they cannot help, you will need to open a ticket with  Public Mobile.  Simply open ticket with PM using Expert Messaging.  Click the Orange Chatbot icon on the lower right to start, or use this link https://expert-messaging.publicmobile.ca/guest/chat/
(Use your Community account to login.  For 2FA, you might need to use email to receive if you cannot receive the text on the phone.)

PM will reply you via Expert Messaging   between 9AM-10PM EST (Mon-Sun)
(for help with Expert Messaging, check here: https://publicmobile.ca/en/get-help/articles/expert-messaging )

Seems like your port didn't go through, you'll need customer service to get that to complete.

You should be able to login, there is a 'Didn't get Code' link when you're logging in and you should be able to send it via email instead.
