Phone conversations scrambled/garbling

Hi,

I switched from Bell to Public in November and since a week ago when I make calls the phone starts to sound like it's being scrambled and garbled and will continue doing so until I hang up. Both ends can hear this happening on the conversation and it's going on to anyone I call or who calls me. Happened after a minute on a very important call today and I'm extremely frustrated by this. Wondering if this is happening because I'm on the Public or because it's my Galaxy S5? Any thoughts?

My boss said he's been having the same issue today and he has a Pixel and an iPhone. Hard to explain what it's like but it renders the call useless. Regardless, I'll give all these a shot so thank you!!

easy way to check pop your sim in a different phone and also a different sim in your phone.  that should help.

not knowing anything about the S5 can't comment but would believe @srlawren and @will13am assesments

Due to tower sharing, in most parts of the country Bell service = Telus service.  This is definitely a phone fault.

@lhuck wow that's unfortunate.  A quick google search leads me to think it's an S5 issue, sadly.  Here are some things that will hopefully help:
