Right. That's a post-paid service. You probably sorta got a pro-rated refund but maybe you had a device balance or the usual charges were more than that pro-rated refund so you ended up paying to get out.

As mentioned, because this is a pre-pay service.

Another kind of service is what's called post-paid where you get a bill that charges you any extras in the past month but you also pre-pay for the next month plan.

In this pre-pay service, you pay in advance for everything you want. If you don't pay for it up front then you don't get to use it at all. There are no pay per use services here. All pre-pay.

Edit: whoa...ninja'd and then this morphed into another topic by the OP 🙂

Maybe an Oracle could merge the two threads as questions from a single user?

There are no refunds for any prepaid service unfortunately.

I started my PM account June 17 and prepaid $40. So if I cancel my service today, I wont have to pay the amount it says I owe on July 17?

@lelainabredeweg  Yes, also don't forget to remove your cc info and disable AutoPay before closing your account. (Porting out).

@lelainabredeweg  Public Mobile is strictly a prepaid service. No romaing or extra charges. What you pay for is what you get.
