Why is PM sending me advertising to switch to Telus?

I keep getting ads for koodo only, but they’re really bad.  They’re always more money for a lesser service. I have can-us-mx, but their ads will be $10+ and just for Canada.

Telus always send promo for Koodo and Telus.  

The "Tier" idea is just like Loblaws family has different brands target focusing different market shares.   

With Telus, Telus is the full service (also most expensive) tier, but it provide you home phone, TV, mobile services.  Koodo is Tier 2, mainly mobile service but also home internet.  It's plan is usually a bit cheaper.  Pubic Mobile is teir 3, the No-frills of mobile, it provide only mobile services and bare minimum features, its focus is on price

Thia promotion has just started this winter. I have not received advertising from PM promoting Telus previously. Is PM closing down?  What are the negatives of switching over to Telus? They are offering the same prices for plans

Telus owns PM and Koodo.  PM is the tier 3 carrier within Telus family.  It is not unusual they try to upsell customers to their other tier services
