I just noticed recently that I only receive text messages and calls from people who also use the Telus network. For people using other providers, I was actually receiving them on my old SIM card.
Went to check and I was actually charged for this month with my old service provider since my account is still active with them.
I have no choice but to keep both SIM active and carry with me 2 cellphones now if I don't want to miss any calls or messages...
Already PM'ed a mod 2 days ago and I'm still waiting for an answer to another issue that I reported on the 19th.
Can someone please look into this issue? @Caroline_D @Saray_O @Shazia_K@Mary_M It just doesn't make sense for me to be paying twice for this.
Thanks

Actually it is an off shoot sort of from the CCTS that handle complaints about this type of thing. Its structure and mandate were approved by the CRTC.

If mine goes on for much longer I will use the **bleep**e out of it and then switch to someone else or just keep the Koodo going. I also use two phones and it is crappy having to do so....besides paying for them. I don't understand why the service was not anticipated as being necessary to be increased with the promo going on. The bobbing heads were too busy counting the cash from the suckers....and there are so many negative posts and people still wanting to get into this system.... I am going to wait for a bit then write to the CRTC and complain. With this many people complaining they have to do something and I believe that PM has violated the regulations here.
@Caroline_D, @Saray_O, @Shazia_K, @Mary_M One of you has to step u and do something...after all you get paid from all the cash your bosses took from all of US!!

I did not get that promo...wish I had then my $67 hit would have been less!! But really even $40 is too much to pay and get nothing done. I now have two phones going as my Koodo renewed and had to be active to be ported...which has NOT been done. PM will eventually have the CRTC step in is my opinion.

I had been with koodo prepaid before porting to wind.
I am currently with wind...
I dont think there is problem with wind right now..
I know mod can fix itthe problem as it is within their own system
but has been waiting for more than 2 weeks, and 3 weeks this friday is a little too much..
they even ignore my message now..
I dont know what the problem is?
how is the progress?
really no one to talk to..
really piss me off...

@2004-5ram1951 @and puccamaki. If you guys are not happy with PM and thinking of leaving the $40, 4gb per month promo, then I will glady take the promo from you. Please message me.

I see, they should probably update that message then. Yeah, unfortunately you have to play the waiting game 😞

I think it is time for this to be as made as "Public" as possible. What good is this plan system if you get no support...and they sure don't mention porting from Koodo or I would have gone with someone else!! Well, have not much else to do but get the word out about this grabage "Service?? Laughable!!) from telus. Slagging time!! Social media is a real Biotch!!!
11-27-2016 09:32 PM
The message that was generated when I sent the e-mail. Now they charged me the $67 and I am a bit pissed off!!
11-27-2016 09:28 PM
Who told you that someone will get back to you in 48 hours? The average response time for this entire month as been about a week, sometimes a little over a week.
11-27-2016 09:23 PM
I bought into this plan thinking it was a good idea....HOW WRONG I WAS!!!! I could not port over my old # fom Koodo so sent an e-mail as requested. Of course they say will take 48 hrs for someone to get back to me??/ How **bleep**ty is that!! I too will be paying for two phones come Tuesday AM and of course that is NOT going to happen. Will just stay with Koodo as at least I can reach a live person!!
Public Mobile is going to have to give me a refund now and if I get hassled then I will do my very best to slag them on every social media site there is. Even crappy service would be better than no service at all..as in PM has NO SERVICE!!!!!

Each phone has a unique IMSI which identifies active SIM card(s) to the network. The subscriber's "phone number" is actually the MSISDN (retrieved from a local HLR database). There is normally no way to associate one MSISDN with multiple IMSIs in the "global" HLR database - the system is supposedly designed to deliberately prevent such conflicts - although there are methods to assign a "backup service" (with the same MSISDN on a different IMSI), typically requiring an additional subscription with additional call charges.
What all this tech babble means is that your phone number (MSISDN) has somehow been registered incorrectly on at least one database. I suspect an error within either Public Mobile's (Telus) registry or your previous (non-Telus?) network's registry, probably caused by a failed or interrupted Number Port (which changes the IMSI associated with your MSISDN).
The mods can correct errors on PM's end, but they probably cannot correct any errors on your previous carrier's end. I would wait it out and suck up the double-billed month - interrupting it now might somehow make things worse. At least you've got two phones to play with!
