It all depends on which provider your old phone # originally came from? If it was a Public Mobile, Koodo or Telus phone # and it's within 90 days since you changed it then an agent can retrieve it from the hold number pool.

However as mentioned by @BKNS27  if your phone # came from a non-Telus family provider you will need to contact them and generally would need to activate a new account with them to retrieve your old phone #.

Your old number will be returned to he carrier you got the number from so you will need to contact them. It will be pause for 90 days before it will be released for anyone who wants it.

Who said it would take days? Since it's after 10 est you won't get a response tonight. But you should get a response in the morning at some point.

So it takes days to get a response back, omg this is the worst

OK. Well, you can log into your old account and click on Didn't get code and have it sent to your email. If that option isn't available then you can create a ticket this way.

The Public Mobile chatbot is currently unable to create trackable tickets for members who are unable to log in. So for this reason, please use the following link to contact them.

A Customer Service Agent will reply to your community inbox here:

During business hours (9 AM-10 PM EST) you can expect a response within 30 minutes, but it may be longer depending on current volumes.
