Number porting

I ported my number (from iTalk BB) when activating my SIM. When someone calls my ported number, my iTalk BB house phone still rings and my cellphone does not. However, when I use my cellphone to dial out, it shows as my ported number. How do I get my cellphone with the SIM card to ring instead of my house phone?

There is no instant magic specially for VoIP ports. What you describe is a normal procedure until the port is fully completed. Once it's completeled you will likely receive a text on your Public Mobile Phone and your VoIP line will stop working. To make run things smoothly at that time shut the phone off for a minute or two and then power it back on.

You can't make cell ring until porting is complete. Continue using home phone until then.

In other cases, contacting a moderator and the porting company has improved porting times.

Not saying it will work for you, but it couldn't hurt.

@kudebbie how long ago Did you port?  VoIP ports can take up to 7 days!  What you describe is normal, when the port is complete it will all work off your cell phone
