Cannot get text messages or phone. Ported from virgin 12 hours ago. Says put in phone number in settings , but does not save. Help please

what phone do you have?
can you send text and just not receive?
If you can send text, able to receive text from friends, but just not receive 2FA code, that is normal experience after porting. Usually after porting, it takes 2 to 5 days for all 2FA to arrive. This is a proper with the source side (not PM) that they do not aware you changed carrier and haven't update the system yet
If you can send text and not able to receive even text from friends, check if you receive incoming calls. If both incoming calls and texts are not working, the porting is not done and you need to escalate that to PM CS agent
if you receive calls but cannot even send text, it is a device problem.

I have the same problem porting in From freedom mobile, spent most of the day on the chat yesterday and it’s still not resolved. At this point I give up, I’m on my third eSIM thinking it might be a bad one, but that’s not changing anything so I’m heading out this morning to try a new provider, one with a physical store where I can talk to someone.
