No service

My phone hasn’t had service and it’s been a couple days since I first set it up. I don’t see any wrong info entered so I’m not sure why it doesn’t work. No service yet so far. I have an iPhone 6s Plus. Sad to be paying for service I don’t get to use….

@Sylent

Could we get more detail of what you did during activation?

- Did you confirm to the SMS text with a YES the your old SIM in the phone if you are porting over? (There is a 90 minute window to reply)

- Did you phone off the phone when you swap the old SIM (if you are porting) or put in the PM SIM (if not porting)?

- Did you check Cellular data setting to see if it is enabled?

These steps are important to activate the PM service.

If all is done then you will need to contact a PM moderator by creating a ticket by clicking on the SIMon chat button so they can help you with your issue.

Hello @Sylent ,

Try one or more of the below:

  • *turn off your phone, leave off for a minutes, then reboot
  • *removing your SIM for a few minutes, then reinserting it
  • *go into airplane mode for a few minutes, then going back to regular mode
  • *reset network settings
  • *Is your Phone Locked? Contact your previous provider to unlock it for you. You will need your imei number, dial *#06# to get it.
  • *Check if your phone is blacklisted here: https://www.devicecheck.ca/check-status-device-canada/
  • *Try your SIM card into another compatible phone, to see if you have any services

Did you port over a number? If so, maybe the port failed. In this case, contact the Moderators to re initiate the porting process.

The frist thing I would try would be to connect your phone by USB to your computer and to launch iTunes (or iTune's replacement program). iPhone devices need to go through a device activation procedure that connects using the intternet to an Apple server.
