No Sim,no service

I activated my Sim, inserted in my phone. Phone says No Sim card, No service. What can I do now? Do I need a new SIM?

No sim can mean that sim is no good and phone can't read it. If it says that i a different phone, replace the sim might be needed.

@hikersue , are you saying the phone is unable to recognize that a SIM card is present or is it seeing a SIM card that is inactive?  If it's the former, try reseating the SIM card.  If it's the latter, check the self serve account to make sure that it's active.

Check if your phone is unlocked and compatible with public mobile.
