no, if you have account active just change SIM card, at Login Page.
your phone number is with account not with SIM card.

What you need to do is to login to My Account, request Change Sim card and they will program your phone number and account details to the new sim card
After you login to My Account, click Change Sim Card from the Quick Links on top (use go to the Profile page )
Then you follow the screen to enter the new SIM Card number and follow the steps from there
