I got a new phone. But my number (already with public mobile) won't transfer when I log in and install a new e-sim.

You need to download the PM app on your new phonez login. THE 2FA code will try to send via SMS , that is where you click Didnt receive code and then Send email (or you can choose Send Voice Message, then call yiurfr from another phone and check e voice mail to get the 2FA)
If you can login, go to Account ->Puchase Sim card and then choose esim to buy

Yes, I purchased the eSim through my account, but my phone number didn't transfer. And it's on my phone that has a broken, black screen (the old phone).

Try click Didn't receive code and then use Send email option to let the code send to email.

So to keep your same phone number on your new phone, download the Public Mobile App to it and purchase a new eSIM. Go to Account, purchase SIM card, Purchase eSIM.
If you had eSIM prior, the new one should be free. This way you keep your phone number.
