I'm not sure what I am doing wrong, if its me, but can someone let me know how long it should take to have internet service on the phone? Account is topped up, and the phone is active...

It's a known issue with lg phones. If resetting network settings doesn't work, then you need to do a factory reset.

In order to get mobile data working, you need to setup APN on your phone. Try the easy procedure first.
Enable data and restart your phone to let PM SIM card to configure your APN automatically.
If you have a LG phone, you need to do a network reset before your data working again after changing provider.

No delays, it should be right away. Make sure the data is on, and you have data left in your self serve account overview. Most likely you need to update the APN settings/search for the network manually.
